Last week I was a part of a team that put on Kid's Club (Vacation Bible School) for about 270 kids.  They were fabulous all week long, learning about Biblical stories through a circus theme.  We don't do a box kit, instead creating our own games, decorations, skits, costumes, crafts, & missions theme.  This year the kids raised over $1600 to help put on a Kid's Club for 10,000 orphans and street children in India!  Awesome!

The week kicked off with a family fun night which meant cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs, chips, bounce tents, carnival games, a dunk tank and relay races.

This is Ebabe and her friend sharing popcorn!

This last one is our senior pastor getting dunked!

For the next four days, I got to help entertain the kids in the Big Top!

This was the center of the Big Top.  On this day, it was the tattoo station.

Looking down from the tech booth, you can get a bit of perspective for the games surrounding the center.  The small pool on the right was our Leap of Faith game and the white thing next to it is part of our photo booth.  Immediately below where you see the scalloped edges, that's the Frisbee throw (see below).

This is the view on the other side of the CWC (white tent on the right of the photo is the center tent).  The multi-colored tent in the background was the face painting station.  The game in the foreground was Tic Tac Toe on this day.

This is our ticket booth where the kids came in and received a ticket to play.  It was the first thing they saw when they approached the room.  The next thing they saw was the circus Big Top draping.
Pretty cool (if I do say so myself!).

We had 8-9 different stations each day.
Most stations were games but some were photo booth,

a balance beam,

face painting and tattoos

The games included: ring toss,

Bozo buckets, bushel buckets, pin the tail on the donkey,

skee ball, dime pitch, duck pond, water gun gotcha,

Bubbles, Tic-Tac-Toe, Frog on a Lily Pad and Balloon Twisting.

We had a great week and I would be remiss to end this without a HUGE thanks to my wonderful volunteers who helped turn our Contemporary Worship Center into a Big Top Circus!

How fun! And I love that you got into the spirit of things by dressing up. That is a lovely pink hat. =>
